The Price He Paid For Me
Born to earth a sinful man,
Blind to God’s eternal plan.
He loved me in ancient past,
Devised a plan, the die was cast.
That Christ His own Eternal Son
Should come to earth to die as one
Whose life, though sinless from the start,
Was taken for my sinful part.
The grave could not contain His Son
Who after death the victory won,
When from the tomb His body rose,
Forever vanquished ...all my foes.
I saw myself a sinner then,
Lost, undone, a sinful man.
But God who in eternal bliss,
concerned Himself with such as this,
Reached down to save my sinful soul,
To make my heart forever whole.
How can I but give my all,
For such a Saviour? That’s my call.
Won’t you come and join me then
To make my Saviour and my Friend
Your eternal Saviour too
For after all, He died for you!
